TPB Karhutla Installs Smoke-Resistant Classrooms in Muaro Jambi

Jakarta Integrated Task Force on Forest and Land Fires (TPB Karhutla) continues to install smoke-resistant classrooms in three schools located in Sungai Gelam Sub-district, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province.

Those schools are SMPN Satu Atap Sungai Gelam III, SMPN Satu Atap Petaling, and SDN 241/IX Kemtopo.
Jakarta TPB Karhutla Member who are also the creator of smoke-resistant classroom from Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics (FMIPA) in Bandung Institute of Technology, Zeily Nurahman stated, his side wants to educate the locals and teachers about mechanism of making this smoke-resistant classroom.
TPB Karhutla Personnel Start Moving to Pemunduran, Jambi"In 2015, this concept has been implemented in SDN 181/IV Jambi. We are here to educate them how to make smoke-resistant classroom," he said, Thursday (9/26).
According to him, smoke-resistant classroom can also installed in disaster area such as locations near volcano and coal mining.

"In the future, we hope this concept can be applied in houses located in the disaster area such as forest and land fires (karhutla).But, of course, we are hoping there is no more forest fire in Indonesia," he asserted.
For information, Jakarta TPB Karhutla Task Force has completed smoke-resistant classroom in four schools in Jambi.
Each classroom is equipped with three fans, one blower fan, four exhaust fan, and one roll of dacron that is used to prevent smoke from entering the classroom. It is also equipped with one set of aquarium and four anti-pollutant plants to decorate the classroom.
